The REB Wizard initiative is the result of a partnership between the Dr. Khaled El Emam led multi-disciplinary Electronic Health Information Laboratory (EHIL) team (internationally recognized for research on risk assessment methods for handling health data) and Privacy Analytics. The Wizards are an offshoot of the Privacy Analytics Risk Assessment Tool (PARAT), the only commercially available de-identification tool on the market. Custodians of personally identifiable information use PARAT to maximize the utility and granularity of research data while defending against re-identification attacks and avoiding costly privacy breaches.
